A&A have an international love story, and even the planning and execution of their wedding was dependent on their travel schedules. They incorporated travel as a theme of their wedding decor including the most adorable cake topper. Their wedding at the Art Gallery of Alberta was classic and beautiful. Each member of the bridal party was dressed in clothing incorporating batik – a traditional Indonesian fabric. Her dress is absolutely gorgeous, and unlike anything I had seen before. Incorporating cultural and traditional elements into a wedding is one of the most special things a couple can do…this wedding also included bagpipes! Canada truly is a melting pot, and it’s easy for couples here to embrace every aspect of their backgrounds and create a new life together.
The patio at the Art Gallery is a wonderful location for cocktail hour, if you are planning your wedding there make sure to inquire about that option, especially in the summer. It gives your guests a great view of downtown Edmonton! The Art Gallery is one of my favourite wedding venues in Edmonton – the architecture and natural light make it the perfect location for a modern or classic vibe.
