C & T | Edmonton Christian Wedding |

How fun are these two! Their Edmonton Christian wedding ceremony had a lot of wonderful lessons in it. Although I don’t practice religion personally I always enjoy listening to the services I photograph and learning what is taught in different churches, and examining the differences and similarities.  My favourite section from C & T’s ceremony was a discussion of partnership, and what it really truly means to be a married couple.

Partnership to me means equality, but also recognizing that you each have strengths and weaknesses, and allowing your partner to help you with things that you struggle with.  Accepting any of their shortcomings and helping them when they need it. It’s not going to be 50/50 every day – some days it might be 80/20, some might be 60/40, but as long as you’re equal partners at the end of the day I truly believe you’ll have a successful relationship.

And, of course, remembering to have fun with each other…which C and T certainly do!  There was so much dancing at their reception, and incorporation of their African roots as well.
