K & K’s Pyramid Lake Wedding last summer was one of my absolute favourites (I know I’m not supposed to have favourites!). Amidst the devastation of smoke from forest fires in BC, their hopes for a gorgeous mountain backdrop were dashed. But… we all counted our lucky stars that we were not directly affected by the fires, and made the most out of the conditions. The odd conditions actually created really beautiful light, and as grateful as I am for that it was always in the back of my mind that it was as a result of tragedy.
K & K LOVE animals, and just generally being positive and having a good time! They have a wonderful sense of adventure. The day before the wedding we had a chance to venture out for some engagement photos at Athabasca Falls and enjoy all that Jasper Park has to offer. The day of the wedding was filled with laughter, tears, and pushy tourists trying to take photos of everything, despite not knowing a soul at the wedding. Only in Canada, eh? Pyramid Lake Lodge was host to an emotional reception! The dock at the resort was just breathtaking as I stole K & K for a few moments at sunset for more portraits. It’s one my favourite things to do if I get a chance! That dusk light is magical!
