R & T’s wedding was the first time for me photographing a Lions Garden Wedding. It’s truly a versatile venue! It’s just outside Edmonton near Tofield, so it’s a bit of a drive out of the city, but since you can have both your ceremony and reception in the same location it makes it a great choice for couples who want a rustic feel to their weddings. Richelle & Travis are one of my favourite couples of my whole year, and I’m happy to call them friends. Sometimes I just click with clients! We share a love of travel and a love of food (just watch for my next blog post!) and we had a lot of fun as we prepared for their wedding. R personally folded and placed the napkins for her reception on the morning of her wedding, and they potted their wedding succulent favours together before the wedding. It’s those personally touches that really add sentimentality to weddings. Trusting in vendors to handle the big things, and then taking time to ensure your wedding has special touches will help ensure your wedding feels warm and genuine. From start to finish their day was jam packed with smiles, funny stories, and judging by the comments I overheard from guests it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever attended. Thanks R & T for choosing me, it was such a pleasure working with you!
