S & K’s wedding at Calgary’s Bow Valley Ranche restaurant in Fish Creek Park was romantic, elegant, and bright. The looks on their faces as they walked down the aisle together after officially becoming husband and wife say it all. I was lucky enough to be referred to S & K by a dear friend of mine from Junior High – who was a bridesmaid in this wedding! I love how small the world is and how we are all connected.
It was my first time at St. Barnabas Church in Calgary, and it was great to shoot at! As a wedding photographer, I get the chance to work in so many different places, and I enjoy the diversity of churches in particular. My personal favourite – old, traditional churches. Warm and welcoming, rooted in history, with wooden architecture. Modern churches tend to be light and bright, and generally have a larger capacity for weddings, but there’s something special about small intimate churches.
