How can you make a ‘standard’ headshot interesting? Often my clients who book standard studio headshots with me are visiting my studio because they just need a photo. They may have started a new job and their employer requires one. Sometimes it’s been ten years since their last photo and they just need….something. You may think that standard studio headshots are boring or unimportant, but they don’t have to be!
There are a few questions I’ll ask when you come to get a headshot with me. My goal is to determine who your target audience is, what you like most about your face/expression/style, if you have a set of colleagues’ images that you need to match, and what your message will be with your photo. You only get a split second to make a first impression! Most people keep the same headshot for years.
My studio setup is in my home, surrounded by natural light (but I use off-camera flash and modifiers), I have plants everywhere, and my two dogs are very likely to observe your session from outside my large windows. I know you’re busy, so I’m very efficient! You choose your final images while you’re here to ensure we achieve the perfect studio headshots for you. I work often with RBC staff, realtors, lawyers, and other executives. Does your headshot need an update? Contact me today!
